Pre-Employment Medical Assessments
The practitioners consulting from IMMEX offer a range of comprehensive and industry specific Pre-Employment medical assessments to help employers select candidates with the physical ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
In industries where a prescribed health standard exists e.g commercial drivers, safety critical roles, a Pre-Employment medical assessment can assess the candidate against the relevant health standard. If there is a risk of a candidate aggravating a pre-existing condition, having a re-occurrence or developing a condition by performing the role, a Pre-Employment medical assessment will identify the risk and doctors consulting from IMMEX will make recommendations as to steps to take to minimise the likelihood.
Depending on the requirements of the role a Pre-Employment medical assessment includes:
Pre-Employment Medical
- Blood Pressure & Pulse
- Vision Acuity & Colour Test
- Height & Weight
- Body Mass Index
- Urine Analysis
The medical practitioners consulting from IMMEX are SIRA accredited and will review the results of the candidate’s questionnaire and initial test results prior to assessing the candidate themselves. The doctors we support will assess and consolidate all relevant aspects of the candidate’s medical history and physical condition to make a recommendation to the candidate’s ability to perform the proposed role.
Pre-Employment Medical plus Audiometry (hearing) test
For those roles that require a base line hearing assessment to identify any abnormalities, audiometry testing conducted in an Audiometry Booth, can be added.
Pre-Employment Medical plus Spirometry (lung function) test
For those roles that require a base line lung function assessment to identify obstruction or abnormalities, a Spirometry test can be added.
Pre-Employment Medical Examinations help to manage your WHS risks and responsibilities by assessing the physical ability of a candidate to perform a particular role. Results are emailed within 1 working day of the medical examination (when not waiting on external results).
