Independent Medical Consultations (IMC)
The Injury Management Consultants (IMC’s) consulting from IMMEX are SIRA approved registered medical practitioners experienced in occupational injury and workplace rehabilitation. They work within the NSW Workers Compensation system and help their clients work through issues to achieve the best possible outcome for workers.
Referrals
Referral to an IMC may occur when a worker has been identified at risk of delayed recovery, a specific injury management issue has been identified or for comment on treatment options.
Assessment
The IMC’s we support assess the situation, examine the worker and discuss possible solutions with all parties.
Comprehensive Medical Report
A comprehensive medical report is sent to all parties within 10 days.
Ongoing Communication
The IMC’s we support together with our Medical Opinions Administration team will communicate and keep you appraised of progress
